Committees

The Board has from the year 2013-2014 in its policy that it seriously wants to work with internationalization. Hence a new Commission has been set: the International Commission. It will inform everything related to international students study and city to be there for them a year as smoothly as possible out of it. She organizes at the beginning of the year the event ‘ Meeting Maastricht ‘, in which a group of international students get a tour through the city and discover the many bars that Maastricht has to offer. The hobbyhorse of the International Commission is to set up an international company day.

The FIRM editorial gives four times a year the magazine the ” FIRM ” out. They are responsible for accessing writers of scientific articles, articles by graduate tax specialists about the ‘ practice ‘, reports of activities organised by FIRST Maastricht, Association news, and more!

After an unforgettable trip to Athens in the year 2014-2015 will in the academic year of 2015-2016 no study trip.

In the past, broadened her horizons FIRST Maastricht and its boundaries through a study trip with the destination under more Istanbul (2013), Moscow (2011) and New York City (2009). The purpose of our study tour to offices elsewhere in the world to visit to you in this way to give an impression of the work abroad. As a result, we offer students the optimal occasion their possible options as to their future course. We travel with 24 members of FIRST Maastricht to a fiscal interesting destination where we of course remember to the city and the surrounding area and night life. For the participating students obligatory office visit to the sponsor (s) of the journey take place in Netherlands, before we visit during our study trip the foreign establishment. If travel Committee are you so with a team of five in charge of organizing the trip from A to Z after a location is chosen in consultation with the Board.

This academic year will be the 6th anniversary of FIRST Maastricht. The anniversary Committee is responsible to organize and promote these festivities and activities. There will be a organized lustrum week.

The PR-Committee of FIRST Maastricht has various tasks at different times in the year. The main task of this Committee is the recruitment of new members at the beginning of the academic year. The year is directly active started by presence on the introduction days for new students. Also, the Commission members in different education groups give a short presentation about FIRST Maastricht. During the year the PR-Committee will contribute to the promotion of various activities of FIRST Maastricht, as the FIRST Tax company day. It is the Organization of the annual Open party in the hands of this Committee.

The Auditors FIRST Maastricht has the task to check the accounts of the Treasurer. They do this twice a year. First, before the bi-annual general meeting including the financial half-year report presented and at the change of the board where the production is presented.

This Commission will organize a special drink in Maastricht special for all alumni of FIRST Maastricht.

The purpose of this activity is an accessible way for alumni to a built up to maintain and extend the network with other alumni of FIRST Maastricht. It is also an ideal way to keep in touch with each other and thus knowledge and exchange experiences and, not to mention, beautiful memories from your time as a student in Maastricht.
